From the Principal's Desk

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Sardar Patel College of Engineering is a premier institute imparting technical education. The institute which was established in 1962 has gone from strength to strength in the last 45 years. The present faculty and the administration are ensuring that the college reaches new heights in the coming years. In the last few years several measures have been taken to improve the academic stature of the institute. Initiating PG programmes in the areas of strength, enhancing industry institute interactions, promoting entrepreneurship, pursuing research and development in different emerging areas, initiating Ph.D. programmes, are a few initiatives which are being vigorously pursued. The Civil, Mechanical and Electrical programmes were accredited for three years and the institute has been awarded A+ grade by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra. Several surveys carried out by independent agencies have placed the college in the top three institutes in the region and amongst the first fifty institutes of the country. We at SPCE believe that with the active support of the faculty, supporting staff and students the institute will further enhance its reputation in the coming years. By the time we start celebrations for our golden jubilee year in 2012, the institute is bound to be amongst the best not only in the country but also in the global academic circles.
